Through the idea of Traditions,
a collection of unique holiday events, Sunriver Resort and
its partners have developed a very special event benefiting
over 200 vulnerable children and their families living in
Deschutes County. The idea behind this event, which has been
named "Wonderland Express," is to provide these
families with a memorable holiday experience filled with fun
and laughter. The 2012 event, hosting families from Redmond south
to LaPine and west to Sisters, was an overwhelming success and we are hoping,
with your help, to touch even more families in 2013. This year's event is being held on December 15, 2013.
In addition to a special holiday meal, each
family attending the event enjoyed an ice
cream sundae bar, a hay wagon ride, arts and craft activities,
and a visit from Santa with presents and stockings for the
kids. Each family will receive a professional family
photograph, warm winter items, a grocery gift card to take home plus
much, much more.

Families
invited are randomly identified through the Family
Access Network (FAN). The goal of Wonderland Express is
to make this event 100% volunteer in time, product and services.
Wonderland Express is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization. All donations are tax deductible (tax id # 20-0036466)
with 100% of the funds raised going directly toward the event.
